August is Platypus month, and we have regular sightings and an active small group of platypus in and around Jerrabomberra Creek in Jerrabomberra Wetlands. Platypus surveys are run by Upper Murrumbidgee Waterwatch and no previous experience is needed.
The next platypus survey starts at 7:00am from the public carpark on Dairy Road. You need very warm clothes, as well as binoculars if you have them. Please RSVP to Woo O'Reilly, Upper Murrumbidgee Waterwatch Facilitator, at email@example.com to be involved. We'll finish with tea & toast back at the Wetlands offices in the warm.
