Parkcarers of Southern Murrumbidgee - November activity

Planned activities: This month we will be planting if the kind rangers can get us any seedlings. We'll also do some follow up watering of previous plantings if there's no rain, and some woody weed control if we have time. If anyone would like to take photos or record what is flowering and what animals we see, that would also be great.

Please wear suitable clothes and sturdy footwear, a sense of humour, and bring water. If you have a favourite planting or pruning tool bring that too.

Parkcarers of Southern Murrumbidgee - October activity

Planned activities: This month we will be planting again, and we'll also do some woody weed control if we have time. The woody weeds are sneaking back in again so it's good to keep on top of them. If anyone would like to take photos or record what is flowering and what animals we see, that would also be great.

Please wear suitable clothes and sturdy footwear, a sense of humour, and bring water. If you have a favourite planting or pruning tool bring that too.

Parkcarers of Southern Murrumbidgee - September activity

Planned activities: This month we will be planting. It's important to plant species in the best location to enhance their growth and survival. Some species prefer rocky soils on slopes, some prefer being closer to the river, or need protection from the hardest frosts. So where we plant will depend on what species the rangers can give us. If anyone would like to take photos or record what is flowering and what animals we see, that would also be great.

Parkcarers of Southern Murrumbidgee - August activity

Planned activities: This month we will identify some of our lovely spring wildflowers. We'll walk along the river track looking at what is flowering and checking on plantings along there, and then walk back along Barney's Gully removing guards and checking our previous plantings.

Please wear suitable clothes and sturdy footwear, a sense of humour, and bring water.
