Farrer Ridge Parkcare - September working bee

Meet: at Athllon Depot at 10am.

Planned activities: Weed assessment, and removal. Any possible forb/grass planting in degraded sites.

This is the regular monthly activity for the Farrer Ridge Parkcare Group, held on the first Sunday of each month.

Fisher Parkland Landcare Group - September working bee

Meet: At the vehicular track entrance to the Parkland on Namatjira Drive, where the speed limit changes (near our Olympic site), at 1.30.

Planned activities: General weed control acrss the Parkland.

Bring a weeding implement, clippers, sun-cream, hat, gloves and drinking water.

Isaacs Ridge / Mount Mugga Mugga Parkcare group - August activity

Where: Mount Mugga Mugga. Meet at Wallangara St., O’Malley

What: Weed removal

Tools: Bring a small mattock or weeding tool if you have one. We will have some pruners for woody weeds too.

Please wear suitable clothing, especially long sleeves, sun hat, sturdy footwear, and strong gardening gloves.

Bring a day pack and do carry water.

Fieldwork Training for Mt Taylor Reptile Survey

Meeting Place: Mt Taylor Reserve Car Park and Picnic area at the end of Waldock St. (Waldock St. runs off Macfarland Cres. in Chifley)

Time: 2pm to approx. 4pm

Bring: A pair of work gloves and wear long trousers. Also you may need warm clothing, a sun hat etc. Anyone with a bad back will need to let the trainer (Will) know. Also it is a good idea to wear a back support if prone to slight back problems.

Minders of Tuggeranong Homestead -
National Tree Day Activity

The Minders of Tuggeranong Homestead (MOTH) will be taking part in National Tree Day this Sunday. Come and help plant some native grasses and sedges along the creek-line.

Meet at the white gates on Johnson Drive opposite Calwell shops at 10.00am.

Meet: Point Hut Crossing carpark at 9am.

Planned activities: Planting and some weed control (cut & dab).

Please wear suitable clothes and sturdy footwear, and bring water. If you have planting tools, please bring those too.
