Come back to the National Tree Day planting area behind The Fair in North Watson. National Tree Day planting - Mt Majura

Celebrate National Tree Day 2013 with a community planting party in the Mount Majura Nature Park. Get your hands dirty and local trees, shrubs and flowers into the ground.

This year we will be extending the 2012 planting in the nature park behind the “The Fair”.

National Tree Day is a wonderful opportunity for new and old neighbours of Mount Majura to work together, get to know each other and promote the joys of our local bush environment. Holes will be already dug and water delivered so all will be in place on July 28th for an orgy of planting!

Bird Walk - Mt Majura

Bird Walk

There have been confirmed sightings of 112 different bird species in the Mount Majura Nature Reserve (Canberra Ornithologists Group). Accompany ornithologist Peter Miller for an early morning stroll and see and hear some of the species that nest, fledge and sing in spring. Bring sun protection, sturdy shoes, binoculars, if you have them and a gold coin for a species list and pocket guide.
