Platypus Walk at the Queanbeyan River

Sunday, 31 August 2014 - 4:30pm
Upper Murrumbidgee WaterwatchDid you know that platypus can be found throughout the Molonglo, Queanbeyan and Murrumbidgee Rivers and even in Lake Burley Griffin!  August is platypus month, when these shy and secretive creatures start becoming more active (and easier to spot) as they are feeding and finding mates in the lead up to their breeding season.
For your chance to spot those platypus, join us for a Sunday afternoon platypus walk at the Queanbeyan River, meeting at the Isabella St footbridge, starting at 4:30pm. This event is suitable for all ages and there is no charge.
