This event has been rescheduled to May 9th, after having to cancel in March due to torrential rain.. So let’s take 2 for Landcare for our Future! 🥳
RSVP ON EVENTBRITE HERE
We will be doing some work to restore vegetation around a dam and manage erosion using branches. This is a great one for those who want to learn about land management techniques that protect soils and the environment. We’ll be getting active, checking out the property, and making a difference to a small section of rural ACT.
Whether you’ve been to a Landcare for our Future event before or not- this will be a great introduction to rural landcare, and a fun morning for everyone!
When: Sunday 9th May, 9:30am-12:30pm
Where: Rural Landcare at Cypress Springs, Booroomba Road, Tharwa (about 35 mins drive from the CBD). A more detailed map and instructions will be emailed around to all RSVP’s.
Bring: sun protection and a water bottle, wear sturdy enclosed shoes, long pants and long sleeves
Optional: If you have them, bring your own gardening gloves .
We have clean tools and gloves, and will give training and instructions on how to use them safely.
**If you need assistance with transport- get in touch at communications@sactcg.org.au and we may be able to arrange some car-pooling.
