RSVP Essential- RSVP HERE

Come along to the second Landcare for our Future event of the year for a spot of weeding at the gorgeous Cooleman Ridge 🌱🌻 Whether you’ve been to these events before or not- all are welcome!

Cooleman Ridge is a woodland reserve, home to the threatened Pink-tailed Worm-Lizard (see photo below- sorry to those who don’t like wormy things!). The Cooleman Ridge Parkcare Group was formed in 1991 by three women, and is continuing to care for the reserve through weeding, planting, wildlife and vegetation surveys and more.

We’re invited to join the group on Sunday 28th March for a weeding party! We will be tackling mostly woody weeds using the ‘cut and dab” method- training, morning tea and chats provided.

When: Sunday 28th March, 9:00am-12pm

Where: Cooleman Ridge Nature Reserve, parking at the end of Darrell Place, Chapman, ACT (put in 5 Darrell Place, Chapman into Google Maps).

Bring: sun protection and a water bottle, wear sturdy enclosed shoes, long pants and long sleeves

Optional: If you have them, bring your own gardening gloves .

We have clean tools and gloves, and will give training and instructions on how to use them safely. Morning tea is also provided, but bring something along to share if you like 🙂

**If you need assistance with transport- get in touch at communications@sactcg.org.au and we may be able to arrange some car-pooling.
