RSVP HERE ON EVENTBRITE ESSENTIAL
Southern ACT Catchment Group is continuing on with bushfire recovery efforts in Namadgi National Park and we are calling for all hands on deck with our next work party for bushfire recovery on the 4th of December!
This work party will be a fun day out learning about the ongoing threats invasive weeds pose to Namadgi National Park after the recent bushfires. All ages and experiences are welcome.
The day will include weed identification, how weeds can change the landscape, current weed management practices used by Parks and Conservation Service and online resources used in the mapping of invasive weeds.
This will be followed by an interpretative walk hosted by government department researcher Zohara Lucas : Grasslands and their response after fire.
We will provide Tea, Coffee and Biccies, hand sanitiser and sunscreen. Please bring your own packed lunch , water, sun protection, and wear long pants, long sleeves and study footwear.
Looking forward to having a great day out!
