Tussock Talk

The Serrated Tussock Working Party for NSW and ACT, in partnership with Mid-Western Regional Council, has been successful in securing funding under the Noxious Weeds Grants to employ a project officer to lead a coordinated effort against this highly invasive weed.

The project is the first stage in a 5 year plan to coordinate better district and regional programs so that control efforts increase in their effectiveness and there is a decrease in the impact of serrated tussock.

Natural Sequence Association Working-bee & Composting Demonstration, Bredbo

Join the local Chapter of the Natural Sequence Association in building a NSF-style leaky-weir, plus a demonstration of the latest composting equipment and activators. Wear gardening gear if you will be assisting in bulidng the weir.

Launch of the Molonglo River Rescue Action Plan

The Molonglo River Rescue Action Plan details how to rehabilitate the Molonglo River - from Captains Flat in NSW right through to its confluence with the Murrumbidgee in north-western ACT. The Plan will officially be launched with the help of year 2 students from Ainslie Primary School at Molonglo Reach opposite Duntroon, ACT. Hard copies of the Plan will be available on the day or can be collected from the Molonglo Catchment Group office in Queanbeyan.
