Friends of Mawson Ponds

Friends of Mawson Ponds is an Urban Parks and Places Group established to make the Mawson Pond’s area a great place for both the community and the native flora and fauna. Friends of Mawson Ponds is a member of Southern ACT Catchment Group, as well as part of the Woden Valley Community Council and received some funding form ACT Government, including through the Environment Grants program.

The group has been planting native plants as part of a wildlife corridoor, as well as improving the amenity of the space by installing seating and more.
