Who we are

The Musgrove Musteres Formed in 2022 as an initiative led by dedicated local volunteers of the are local to Perry Drive Park. Our mission is to restore and enhance the ecological resilience of Perry Drive Park, transforming it into a thriving habitat that reflects the natural beauty and biodiversity of the region.
What we do

Our aims are to:
- Restore Landscape Resilience: Our project is a small but significant step in reviving the resilient Yellow Box-Blakely’s Red Gum open woodland, which historically withstood extreme weather conditions. This restoration will help the park adapt to the challenges of a changing climate.
- Enhance Urban Forest: By partnering with the community, we aim to grow and maintain an urban forest that provides habitat, improves biodiversity, and educates residents about the value of local environmental action.
- Foster Long-Term Benefits: Our understory planting will support sustainable urban forest development, inspire community members to take local action, and contribute to the long-term health of our shared environment.
- Improve Community Amenity: The project will enhance the beauty and functionality of the park, particularly for families using the adjacent playground.
- Educate and Engage: On-site signage will provide information about the species planted, their ecological significance, and their role in supporting local wildlife. This will help foster a deeper connection between the community and the natural world.
