Southern ACT Catchment Group is building a small Native Plant Nursery at Westwood Farm, Lyons Youth Haven, in Kambah. This community nursery will grow plants of local provenance for restoration projects undertaken by Southern Catchment Group and our member groups.
Primarily volunteer run, our Landcare nursery will be a friendly place for local volunteers to learn propagation and nursery skills and meet other volunteers. The nursery infrastructure is almost complete but requires some additional work to secure water supply and install irrigation in our sheds so we can get planting!!!
Please help us seed this community-led initiative through a tax-deductible donation to our nursery appeal. Your donation will:
- Get our nursery up and running before spring
- Build community skills in propagation and nursery management
- Help address shortfalls in supply of native plants for our local projects
.
Direct Debit
For direct debits, a receipt will be sent out on request. Please email communications@sactcg.org.au to request a receipt with your name and donation amount. Donations made by Raisely will receive a receipt automatically.
