POSM (Parkcarers of the Southern Murrumbidgee) plan to put up to 40 shallow water craft suitable for the rocky riverbed of the Murrumbidgee River into the water at Point Hut Crossing near Gordon in South Canberra, and clean approximately 7kms of the river down to Tuggeranong Creek collecting rubbish from the river and banks as they go.
Bags of rubbish will be dropped off next to the walking track on the East bank of the river at any point it can be done safely. Land based volunteers and Rangers will collect the rubbish bags and haul them away.
A map will be available to participants at the meeting place.
