Join other like-minded young folks in a working bee out at the glorious Oakey Hill Nature Reserve for “Landcare for our Future”.

The lovely Oakey Hill Parkcare Group has called for help- they are in desperate need of some younger and stronger hands on the Hill.

On the 18th April we will be delving into the world of track maintenance- digging some drainage lines, lining the track with branches, and for those who don’t feel like hard manual labour, the option of some light weeding is there too! We will be joined by Marty the Parkcare Ranger- who has years of experience managing Canberra’s parks and reserves, and is a wealth of knowledge.

When: Sunday 18th April, 9am-12pm

Where: Oakey Hill Nature Reserve, Parking at the end of Quamby Place

Bring: sun protection and a water bottle, wear sturdy enclosed shoes, long pants and long sleeves

Optional: If you have them, bring your own gardening gloves .

We have clean tools and gloves, and will give training and instructions on how to use them safely. Morning tea is also provided, but bring something along to share if you like 🙂

**If you need assistance with transport- get in touch at communications@sactcg.org.au and we may be able to arrange some car-pooling.
