The last Namadgi Bushfire Recovery event of the year is coming up and we’d love to have you join us!! RSVP HERE

We are heading out to Glendale Picnic area to continue on the great weed control work started in November 2020. We will be working on hand-chipping out Verbascum (Mullein) species and exotic grass species in grassland and woodland around the picnic ground.

We will finish the weed work at 3pm, with a lunch break around 1pm and people are welcome to have their lunch(BYO) in the picnic ground and enjoy the beautiful surroundings afterwards before heading home.

When: Sunday 27th June – 10am-3pm

Where: Glendale Picnic area on Boboyan Road, Namadgi National Park (about 20km or 20-25 minutes past the Visitor’s Centre on a sealed road).

Please Bring: Own lunch, water (at least 2L), gardening gloves, hat, rain coat, gaitors if you have them and please wear enclosed shoes, long pants and long sleeves. Please bring warm clothes as we are expecting cooler weather, possibly snow.

We will bring hand tools, spare gloves, first aid kit, sunscreen, additional drinking water for water-bottle refills, hand sanitizer, hand washing gear and disinfectant spray, hot water, tea and coffee and light morning tea snacks. Due to COVID please bring your own gloves if you can.
