The final Namadgi Wildlife Recovery event is coming up and we’d love to have you join us!! RSVP HERE
We are heading out to the Namadgi Visitor Centre to get our hands dirty doing some planting and weeding in the remnant woodland. We will be working on invasive weed mapping, hand-chipping exotic species in woodland around the Visitor Centre and planting native habitat species in the endangered Box-Gum Woodland site.
We will work on weeding in the morning, with morning tea around 11am, then some planting and a lunch break around 1pm, finishing off our activities at 3pm. People are welcome to have their lunch(BYO) in the picnic ground and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
When: Saturday 19th June – 10am-3pm
Where: Namadgi Visitor Centre, Naas Road, Tharwa, ACT, 2602
Please Bring: Own lunch, water (at least 2L), gardening gloves, hat, rain coat, gaiters if you have them and please wear enclosed shoes, long pants and long sleeves. Please bring warm clothes as we’re expecting cooler weather.
We will bring hand tools, spare gloves, first aid kit, sunscreen, additional drinking water for water-bottle refills, hand sanitizer, hand washing gear and disinfectant spray, hot water, tea and coffee and some light morning tea snacks. Due to COVID please bring your own gloves if you can.
