Nominations Extended for ACT Landcare Awards

Nominations have been extended for the 2017 State and Territory Landcare Awards. Held since Landcare’s inception, the Landcare Awards acknowledge and celebrate local Landcare achievements at state and territory and national levels, all across Australia. The awards showcase the achievements and history of Landcare, and above all recognise the invaluable contribution of tireless volunteers. All winners of State and Territory Landcare National Award Categories, will the go on to represent the ACT at the National Landcare Awards in 2018.

There are eight national categories:  

  • Australian Government Individual Landcarer Award
  • Australian Government Partnerships for Landcare Award
  • Australian Government Excellence in Sustainable Farm Practices Award
  • Australian Government Innovation in Agriculture Land Management Award
  • Landcare Community Group Award
  • Junior Landcare Team Award
  • Indigenous Land Management Award
  • Young Landcare Leader Award

There are two ACT awards:

  • The ACT Government Environment Community Support Award
  • The ACT Government Citizen Science Award
